For indecent exposure that created a stir on the beaches of Boracay Island, a Taiwanese tourist was arrested and fined by the police yesterday.
Lin Tzu Ting, 26, was arrested by the Boracay PNP for wearing a thong bikini in two occasions, one is at the front beach along Station 1 and at the Puka Beach yesterday. Both instances created a stir among other tourists who took of her photos which circulated online.
Ting arrived on Wednesday with her male partner on the island.
Reports said that Ting and her partner were invited at the police precinct and was thereafter fined with P2,500. It was not clear though on what particular charge that the arrest was based but current laws on indecency could have been the basis of her arrest.
The Taiwanese national, for her part, claimed she is not aware that wearing a sexy thong bikini is prohibited on the island.
Meanwhile, the PNP, reports said, is trying to find out the source of the photos that have circulated online as they are preparing appropriate charges for the malicious post.

4 responses to Taiwanese woman on sexy thong bikini arrested, fined in Boracay
When I was on Boracay a French girl was sunbathing topless. Seems like discrimination to me
lot of double standards in countries like Philippines. AKA developing countries.
Very Discriminating ! and ABUSE OF POLICE POWER AS USUAL IN THE WORLD!
Well I think she is a stupid cow. I really don’t want to see strangers’ private parts and neither do a lot of locals. Its completely disrespectful. I couldn’t care less who thinks it’s sexy.
