Kalibo PNP is Region 6 2nd Most Citizen-Friendly Police Station
KALIBO, Aklan--Kalibo Police Station receives the 2nd Most Citizen-Friendly Police Station, Municipal Category in Western Visayas as the Napolcom Regional Director, Atty. Marte S. Palomar and PNP Regional Director, PCSupt. Agrimero A. Cruz Jr., confer the awards to the Chief of Police, PSupt. Aden T. Lagradante represented by Deputy Chief of Police, Senior Insp. Francis T. Balais, during the launching of the National Crime Prevention Month at the Freedom Grandstand, Iloilo City recently.
Kalibo MPS conferment together with the 1st Placer, Cabatuan Police Station of Iloilo province and 3rd Placer, Jamindan Police station, were base on the recommendation of the different provincial selection committees composed of the PNP, the NAPOLCOM, the DILG and the stakeholders of the six (6) provinces in the entire region.
The presentation of write-ups by the different selected provincial winners was done in the NAPOLCOM Regional Office last August 24, 2012.
Supt. Lagradante expounded on the attributions made by the Kalibo Police Station in relation with the community; the services rendered beyond the call of duty both on police and community related; involvements in community projects and activities including the activation of the Barangay peacekeeping action teams (BPAT) and disaster management program; and concern for the environment.
Prior to the award, Kalibo was cited Most Citizen-Friendly Police Station in the province by the provincial selection committee and was conferred the award last July 31, 2012 together with Boracay Tourist Assistance Center (BTAC), Malinao, Nabas and Balete MPS as the runner ups.
